Kurotsuchi does have a Kekki Genkia which does make her incredibly powerful but of course Onoki was 1 of 2 shinobi I can remember, that has a Kekki Tota so even though she is incredibly powerful she is completly overshadowed. Darui is pretty beast to be fair from what we saw in the war he makes light work of a large army of white zetsu which Kaguya made to fight Otsutsuki members and he is far more adaptable than A who is just strong and fast.

Gaara is the strongest the sand village has ever had but Gaara is not as OP as he looked in Part 1. Think the major problem is a lot of the new Kage don’t really have all that much screen time in combat showing us what they can do, in Boruto they are frequently sidelined for story purposes and a lot are following the previous Kage have Kekki Genkia/Mora which are incredibly rare. Makes the franchise’s universe much more interesting to watch. If that takes away some of the shine from naruto, than so be it. I wanna see god level shit from kurotsuchi and Darui. Just someone slightly above jonin level apparently. Regardless of their importance to the story. Regardless of what other people say, I don’t want to see Kage be carried by naruto and sasuke. Seeing Chojuro be a joke, Darui fight boring, and kurotsuchi‘s potential be wasted makes me sad. Now in the story only the leaf village matters because they have the best ninjas due to their lineages being tied to Kaguya and Hagaromo/Hamura. Like, five god level shinobi displaying the best of their villages. If I go to a video on YouTube and see “five kage vs so and so, I’m expecting some hype shit.

It’s not my job to wait around on characters to show why they deserve that title. The constant focus on just the leaf village, naruto, sasuke, etc makes the universe feel small.

I’ve just felt like the devaluing of that position started with kishimoto and we’re seeing the endgame in boruto. Also carrying the weight of lifting up a whole village and being it’s first and last one of defense. I remember when the title of kage carried a weight of a god level Shinobi on the lowkey. Seeing Hiruzen take on edo 1st and 2nd Hokage showing feats that seems so far above Jonin level. Remember the whole, “I’ve waited my whole life to be able to witness Kage level combat”. I remember all the way back in part 1 of naruto where the old man hokage was hyped up as being more than a wise old man.
